ControlMap, which provides a cybersecurity compliance automation platform for MSPs, has received an "acceleration" investment from Top Down, an investment firm that's led by IT Glue founder and former CEO Chris Day. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ControlMap will use the investment to bolster its presence in the MSP space and provide governance, risk and compliance (GRC) management services to MSP customers, according to Top Down.
How Does ControlMap's Platform Work?
MSPs can use ControlMap's platform for compliance management, the company stated. The platform blends automation, monitoring and cross-framework mapping capabilities to help MSPs speed up and improve their compliance efforts.
ControlMap's platform lets MSPs connect to more than 20 systems, monitor compliance metrics across these systems and get notified if issues arise, the company indicated. It allows MSPs to monitor configuration of their cloud infrastructure and information systems based on hundreds of security best practices.
In addition, ControlMap's platform automatically syncs MSPs' assets, employees, change tickets and other evidence data for audits, the company stated. It also allows MSPs to create a personalized action items list for compliance and auditing across their IT environments.
