Amid COVID-19 Delta variant concerns, Amazon Web Services has canceled the AWS re:Inforce 2021 conference, which was scheduled for August 24-25 in Houston, Texas. A free virtual event, featuring keynote and leadership sessions, is now scheduled in its place.
This is the second consecutive year that Amazon has canceled AWS re:Inforce's face-to-face conference amid the coronavirus pandemic.
AWS re:Inforce, launched in 2019, quickly attracted an MSSP following. Numerous Top 250 MSSPs were on-hand at that initial conference — including Alert Logic, Anitian, Cisco Systems, Delta Risk (now owned by Motorola Solutions) Deloitte, IBM and PwC, among others.
