Bridge Security Advisors Adds Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Solution to Portfolio

Umbrella and rain binary code. Data protection and security and privacy concept

Bridge Security Advisors, a decentralized, partner-led cybersecurity and risk management consultant to small and medium-sized businesses/enterprises (SMB/E), has added the Essential Security Solution (ESS), a managed security solution service, to its portfolio.

ESS Service Examined

The ESS service is designed to provide global enterprises on-demand cybersecurity solutions at scale and is a fully customizable 24/7 cybersecurity-as-a-service led by a virtual chief information security officer (vCISO) specifically chosen for their industry vertical expertise.

ESS includes real-time 24/7 managed detection and response (MDR) and threat intelligence under the direction of a vCISO to provide support, compliance oversight and governance guidance to the C-suite and Board leadership.

Working in tandem with BSA and customers, the vCISO also establishes a security strategy and program tailored to meet the business requirements of BSA clients. The plans and programs are designed to enhance existing cyber operations and address capability gaps to ensure cyber resiliency and, in the event of a breach, ensure operational continuity, BSA said.

BSA's Cybersecurity Evolution

Matthew Tuttle, BSA chief executive, explained how the launch of ESS is a “logical extension and complement” to BSA’s “robust” portfolio of cybersecurity advisory and staffing services:

“Against the accelerating threat landscape posed by cyberattacks such as ransomware, small medium businesses/enterprises are finding themselves under constant attack. Boards, shareholders and customers are demanding organizations improve their security postures. BSA’s Essential Security Solution brings immediate benefits to people, processes and technology that combined with 24/7 security operations center (SOC), lower risk, accelerate detection and improved response. This allows SMB/E to get substantially more value from their IT/IS investments and reduce the risk of business disruption from cyber events.”

As many organizations lack in-house security expertise, the ESS service provides a “stable solution” that will provide the services needed at an affordable price” said Gerard Onorato, BSA managing partner and CISO. He added that SMB/E clients have been hit particularly hard and become the “most lucrative targets” for criminals.

“BSA’s Essential Security Solution provides the fundamental security services that are crucial to any organization,” Onorato said.
