Cynomi has released the first-ever directory of vCISO providers to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) "tap the expertise of qualified cybersecurity professionals to protect their digital assets and ensure compliance," according to the company.
Commenting on the vCISO directory and what it means for SMBs, Cynomi CEO David Primor said:
"Thousands of small and mid-sized businesses globally could benefit from the expertise and support of a traditional CISO, but on a more consultative or part-time basis. This is where the vCISO services come in. Our new directory enables businesses to find all vCISO service providers in one place and make an informed choice between the different benefits of the many providers available."
What Cynomi's vCISO Directory Offers
Most SMBs do not have a CISO of their own due to limited budgets and a talent gap that makes it difficult to find qualified cybersecurity professionals, Cynomi noted. As such, they employ MSSPs and MSPs that provide vCISO services that they can use to protect against cyberattacks and data breaches.
Now, Cynomi's directory, available at thevcisodirectory.com, contains more than 200 listings of U.S.-based providers, the company indicated. The directory also includes information about these providers' services and the technology platforms that they use to guide and implement security strategies. As a result, the directory helps SMBs identify VCISO providers and choose a provider that can fulfill their security requests.
Cynomi plans to continually update its vCISO directory, the company stated. It also intends to expand the directory to include international vCISO providers.
