Forescout Acquires CyberMDX: Medical IoT Security Focus
Together, Forescout and CyberMDX offer software that address IoT device visibility, classification, threat detection and incident response for healthcare organizations, the buyer indicated.
The CyberMDX acquisition aligns with another Forescout acquisition -- the Security Matters buyout of 2018. Security Matters provides visibility and risk management for OT systems.
And over the years, Forescout has achieved scale in the IoT device security market. Indeed, Forescout's Device Cloud database contains over 15 million device fingerprints, the company indicated.
Forescout also has IT management partnerships. Key moves include:
- A Tanium integration, which offers “real-time visibility and control across the extended enterprise: campus, datacenter, remote workers, cloud, mobile, OT and IoT,” the two companies said.
- A CyberArk integration, which enable CyberArk customers to use Forescout capabilities to secure their IoT devices.
The Forescout partner program spans distributors, resellers, service delivery partners, global systems integrators, technology and ICS (industry automation and control systems) companies.
