KnowBe4, a security awareness training and simulated phishing platform provider, has launched the PhishER product to help security teams speed up phishing attack detection and response. PhishER helps security teams quickly process employee emails and identify cyber threats, according to a prepared statement.
PhishER is a security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) platform that allows security teams to analyze, prioritize and manage email that has been reported as suspect by employees, KnowBe4 stated. It also automates the management of reported emails that are not threats.
How Does PhishER Work?
Security teams can leverage PhishER to automatically prioritize and manage potentially malicious messages across an organization, KnowBe4 said. These teams also can use PhishER to deploy automated email response templates to find out which emails employees need to continue working.
Furthermore, security teams can use PhishER to create custom workflows for tasks such as incident prioritization and alerting, KnowBe4 indicated. This ensures that security teams can find the best ways to respond to the most dangerous cyber threats.
PhishER is now available as a standalone product or an add-on for current KnowBe4 customers.
KnowBe4 Introduces Breached Password Test Tool
In addition to PhishER, KnowBe4 in June unveiled the Breached Password Test (BPT) tool to help security teams isolate password vulnerabilities and identify high-risk passwords.
BPT examines passwords on accounts within any domain listed within an organization's Active Directory, according to KnowBe4. It allows security teams to search nearly 2 billion records to identify passwords that are currently in use in a domain but have been exposed in a prior data breach.
BPT is now available free of charge.
