10. Funding - Unified Access Management: OneLogin has raised $100 million in growth financing led by new investors Greenspring Associates and Silver Lake Waterman, Silver Lake’s late-stage growth capital fund. The round also includes existing investors CRV and Scale Venture Partners. OneLogin's annual recurring revenue (ARR) nearly tripled over the last three years, and the company employs roughly 250 people. The company plans to accelerate adoption of its Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Unified Access Management (UAM) offerings. More than 2,500 organizations secure their applications with OneLogin, the company says.
9. Data Breach Fine: Neiman Marcus will pay $1.5 million to 43 states over a 2013 data breach that exposed customer credit card data, RetailDive reports.
8. That's Ironic: Kaspersky Lab, currently barred from U.S. government networks, recently helped the United States to pinpoint the identity of an alleged NSA data leaker. U.S. officials have previously alleged that Russia-based Kaspersky could have ties to that country's government. The security software company has repeatedly and firmly denied the allegations.
7. Singapore Hack: State-sponsored hackers were likely behind a cyberattack that netted the personal details of 1.5 million people in Singapore, including the medical records of their primary target Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, an inquiry found, The Wall Street Journal reports.
6. China Telecom Equipment Concerns: U.S. President Donald Trump’s national security adviser John Bolton raised U.S. concerns about the use of Chinese telecommunications equipment in sensitive sectors during a weekend meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Reuters says. The concerns, predictably, focus on China's Huawei and ZTE companies...
5. Cyber Insurance: CFC, the London-based managing general agent that specializes in emerging risks, announced it has expanded its cyber insurance product to include business interruption as well as a variety of cyber-crime activities, Insurance Journal reports.
4. SOC: EY, a Top 100 MSSP, has launched a security operations center (SOC) in India. The SOC offers so-called NextGen Threat Detection capabilities, and leverages IBM’s QRadar platform.
3. FBI Contract: Salient CRGT has won a $40.1 million prime contract to provide critical cybersecurity services enabling FBI's intelligence, national security and law enforcement mission, the company says.
2. Customer Win: CDW has deployed Cybereason's threat detection, hunting and response solution for Premier Foods, one of the world's largest food manufacturers, the cybersecurity company says. Financial terms and the scale of the deployment were not disclosed. Another key Cybereason adopter is Fujitsu, a Top 100 MSSP.
