4. Symantec Under Pressure: Symantec has named three nominees of Starboard Value LP to the Norton anti-virus software maker’s board, barely a month after the activist investor took a stake in the company to push for a change, Reuters notes.

2. Network Security: WatchGuard Technologies has unveiled a Trusted Wireless Environment framework. The effort seeks to help businesses and solution providers to build WiFi services that offer performance, scalable management and verified security capabilities.

The joint offering delivers in one package an endpoint detection and response solution with applied analytics and intelligence to accelerate investigations, and provides guided remediation steps for more confident response to real threats, the firms assert.
