4. Talent: Trustwave parent Singtel has named Arthur Wong to the newly created post of CEO for the company's cybersecurity portfolio. Trustwave was a Top 100 MSSP for 2017. The 2018 list is due in September.

3. Funding: Allure Security has raised $5.3 million in seed funding to drive R&D for the company's data loss detection and response (DDR) platform. New hires in the company's Boston office also are expected.

2. Partnership: SecureWorks, a Top 100 MSSP for 2017, has partnered with Carahsoft to promote managed security services into the government sector. We'll share more details soon.

1. M&A -- MSSP Rollup: A venture capital fund advised by former British and U.S. intelligence officials is planning a string of acquisitions to create a pan-European cyber security specialist, according to Reuters. C5 Capital aims to create a regional managed security service leader combining the latest cloud-based cyber defenses, high levels of automation and local regulatory knowledge, Reuters says.
