Ontinue, the managed detection and response (MDR) services division of Open Systems, has debuted a channel partner program that allows MSSPs, MSPs and systems integrators to deliver managed eXtended detection and response (MXDR) services to Microsoft customers.

Channel partners can join the program to "build a predictable and profitable business that drives customer loyalty and high renewals," Ontinue said. The program provides channel partners with:

  • Access to cybersecurity and Microsoft expertise
  • Joint selling and marketing opportunities
  • Rewards and incentives

The channel partner program allows Ontinue to "engage with a focused set of partners them new opportunities to expand their cyber business," CRO Chris Raniere stated. It also ensures that channel partners can use Ontinue's MXDR platform to provide nonstop security and operations (SecOps) support and cyber protection.

Ontinue Adds to Leadership Team

Along with launching its channel partner program, Ontinue has appointed veteran channel executive Tim Wheatley as its vice president of channels and alliances. Wheatley oversees Ontinue's channel partner program and is responsible for driving Ontinue's go-to-market strategy, the company said.

Wheatley has more than two decades of experience within the channel. Prior to joining Ontinue, Wheatley served as global channel chief at Zimperium, a mobile security platform provider. Wheatley also has held leadership roles at Microsoft and Okta, an identity and access management (IAM) solutions company.

Open Systems launched Ontinue in February 2023. Ontinue offers ION, which provides artificial intelligence-based MXDR to Microsoft customers. In addition, Ontinue provides Managed Vulnerability Mitigation (MVM), an ION add-on service that uses Microsoft Defender for Endpoint to identify security vulnerabilities.

Ontinue also runs the ION Cyber Defense Center, a security operations center (SOC) managed by security experts, data scientists and software developers. The Cyber Defense Center monitors, measures and optimizes customers' security operations, Ontinue indicated.
