Nuspire, a Top 250 MSSP, has added a security operations center (SOC) in Manila, Philippines. This is the MSSP's first SOC outside of the United States. The company has existing centers in Commerce, Michigan and Denver, Colorado.
The Manila SOC operates 24×7 and includes a cross-functional team of security analyst and engineering staff, Nuspire indicated. SOC staff members perform security and network operation functions and provide threat intelligence, client onboarding/service implementation, logistics and asset management and quality engineering.
Nuspire Bolsters Its Leadership Team
The Manila SOC comes after Nuspire made several leadership additions in 2021, including:
- J.R. Cunningham: Nuspire hired Cunningham, a Herjavec Group and Optiv veteran, as its CSO.
- John Ayers: Nuspire appointed Ayers as its chief product officer. Prior to joining Nuspire, Ayers served as VP at Netsurion, a network security and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions provider.
- Michael Wilson: Nuspire named Wilson as its CTO. Wilson previously served as CTO at Cyderes, the security-as-a-service division of Fishtech Group.
- Michelle Bank: Nuspire appointed Bank as its EVP and CMO. Bank was formerly VP of marketing at Optiv.
Nuspire uses its SOCs and threat intelligence to help global organizations detect, respond and remediate cyber threats, the company said. It delivers managed gateway and vulnerability management services that enable organizations to secure gateways and edge and network devices.
