MSSPs and MSPs looking to add attack surface management (ASM) to their stacks or add-on services portfolios have another option to consider as ASM vendor IONIX is introducing a global partner program and has just appointed two new channel execs. The company is part of a growing field of channel-friendly ASM vendors that also includes NetSPI, CyCognito, Randori, Bishop Fox and Armis.

Given the growth in cyber threats, adding ASM as a service may be smart for MSSPs and MSPs. For 2023 the global ASM market size was estimated at $980.4 million and is projected to grow at a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 31.3% from 2024 to 2030, according to Grand View Research.

IONIX executives said they introduced the global partner program with a strong emphasis on MSSPs because of the increasing market demand for ASM across North America, EMEA and APAC.

“The program enables MSSPs to efficiently manage their end-customers and elevate their service offerings to new prospects,” Gilad Friedman, vice president of Global Channels, told MSSP Alert. “Our comprehensive training and support will help MSSPs develop a unique external attack surface management practice, as well as strengthen existing services."

A Special License for MSSPs to Work with Prospects

Friedman noted that the new IONIX partner program includes a special license that allows MSSPs to enhance their service offerings to new prospects. The license enables MSSPs to create an external attack surface view of prospects and create meaningful engagement based on IONIX's findings.

To support these initiatives, IONIX appointed Friedman as vice president of Global Channels and Paul Vick as director of North American Channels.

Friedman said the multi-tiered program is a fundamental part of IONIX’s go-to-market success with partners. In addition to MSSPs, the partner program is designed to support value-added resellers (VARs), global system integrators and alliances, as well as cloud service providers such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The initiative comes in response to its continued growth and collaboration with global partners such as Lantech Longwave, Clutch Solutions, Eversec Group, ICOS, EPAM, GlobalDots and more, according to the company.

MSSP Portal Debuts

As part of its partner program initiative, IONIX has released a multi-tenant MSSP portal. The centralized platform designed for MSSPs to monitor, manage and secure their clients' external attack surfaces.

This portal offers a comprehensive suite of tools and features for effective security management across multiple client networks. Its multi-tenant architecture is a key feature, enabling service providers to manage numerous clients within a single platform, IONIX said. Additionally, it provides customized views and settings for each client, ensuring efficient scaling and streamlined client management for partners.

IONIX helps it partners differentiate their service offerings with a comprehensive ASM platform in the market. Benefits include:

  • Partners and clients have nothing to install or configure and can see immediate exploit results starting from a proof-of-concept scan.
  • Partners can demonstrate value with reports describing a weighted risk score and key remediation recommendations across multiple security audit and assessment categories.
  • API and portal access for each onboarded customer lets clients consume IONIX findings and remediation recommendations in their system of choice.

"IONIX is experiencing exceptional success with large-scale enterprises, and the interest I am seeing from potential partners has been phenomenal,” Friedman said in a statement. “I’m confident that we have built the best program processes and tools to support our partners on this mutual journey to success.”
