Rackspace is offering a new managed service offering for the public cloud called Modern Operations that supports customers across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with an array of services under a single model.
According to Rackspace, irrespective of a customer’s cloud maturity Modern Operations provides operational and system administration support with a managed offering designed to provide a broad range of support services for end-to-end lifecycle management of customer's cloud environments.

Rackspace Leadership Moves
Separately, Rackspace has named industry veteran Brian Lillie as president of its private cloud business. Lillie, whose appointment marks the close of the company’s realignment into two business units, will officially take the reins of the private cloud division on January 23. Late last year, Rackspace tapped D.K. Sinha to lead its public cloud business unit.
Lillie most recently served as Zayo Group, where he served as chief product and technology officer. He is credited with creating and leading the company’s product, network and software technology strategy and road map. Prior to Zayo, Lillie served more than a decade in several C-level roles at Equinix, including chief information officer, chief customer officer and chief product officer.
Lillie, who currently serves on the board of directors for Lumentum and Storj Labs, expressed his enthusiasm for joining Rackspace:
