runZero has brought to market a new version of its cyber asset attack surface management (CAASM) platform that combines "proprietary active scanning, native passive discovery and API integrations," the company announced this week.

Organizations can use the runZero Platform to protect their managed and unmanaged devices, including their IT, operational technology (OT), internet of things (IoT), cloud, mobile and remote assets, runZero said.

Unified Security Visibility Delivered

With runZero's CAASM platform, organizations can use integrations with the company's proprietary active scanning and passive discovery technology to maintain complete visibility across their assets, the business noted. As such, the platform eliminates the need for organizations to use multiple siloed tools to manage their assets.

runZero's platform uncovers previously unknown devices, subnets and shadow IT, the company said. To date, some organizations have used the platform to discover up to 10 times more previously unknown assets.

runZero Provides Always-on Asset Discovery

The runZero CAASM platform's safe scanning technology gathera data points, extracts asset details and retrieves insights into their operating systems, services and hardware, the business stated. Meanwhile, organizations can use the platform's passive discovery technology to improve their existing data sources and discover assets that might miss active scan windows.

The new version of the runZero Platform is now available. Organizations can also access the free Community Edition of runZero's platform, which is designed for small businesses, individuals and security researchers who have 100 or fewer assets. This release offers active scanning, integrations and passive discovery capabilities.

runZero Debuts Infinity Partner Program

The runZero Platform enhancements come after the company in November 2022 launched its Infinity Partner Program to help MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers use its platform to boost their revenues.

Key features of the Infinity program include:

  • Personalized partner portal experience
  • Go-to-market support
  • Access to partner enablement and learning content
  • Rewards-based incentives

More than 30,000 users utilize runZero's platform to improve their security visibility, the company stated. runZero also continues to explore partnership opportunities.
