SentinelOne, a company that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to deliver cyber threat detection, prevention and remediation, has added Virtual Patching and Exploit Shield capabilities to its Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP).
With Virtual Patching, MSSPs can quickly identify out-of-date customer applications, SentinelOne said. That way, MSSPs can reduce a customer's digital attack surface, SentinelOne added, and ensure all customer systems are properly patched following malware, ransomware and other cyberattacks.
Exploit Shield gives MSSPs the ability to apply an anti-exploitation policy in real-time to any machine or group on a customer's network, SentinelOne stated. This policy is effective immediately, SentinelOne indicated, and helps MSSPs speed up the process of identifying and addressing vulnerable applications.
Together, Virtual Patching and Exploit Shield enable MSSPs to leverage behavioral AI to identify anomalies in application execution profiles, SentinelOne noted. The capabilities also provide an additional layer of protection for any behavior or memory-based anomalies that deviate from the normal operation of an application.
Virtual Patching and Exploit Shield are now available to current SentinelOne customers.
What Is SentinelOne EPP?
SentinelOne EPP delivers next-generation endpoint security against all threat vectors, according to the company. It offers broad protection against a variety of cyberattack techniques, including:
- Browsers.
- Credentials.
- Documents.
- Executables.
- Files.
- Scripts.
SentinelOne EPP also delivers up to $1 million in warranty protection against ransomware attacks. It is backed by the SentinelOne cyber warranty, which guarantees no ransomware attack will go undetected and cause irreparable damage.
SentinelOne Introduces Vigilance Security Service
SentinelOne has been busy on the R&D front. The company in September launched Vigilance, a turnkey solution that allows MSSPs and IT and security teams to review security alerts and execute applicable policy-driven actions to reduce the time and effort required to minimize cyber threats.
With Vigilance, cybersecurity analysts evaluate suspicious alerts, review raw data on threats and network connections and collaborate with security researchers to identify and prioritize events, SentinelOne said in a prepared statement. These analysts also notify security personnel about cyberattacks and help end users detect and address cyber threats.
SentinelOne was formed by cybersecurity and defense experts from IBM, Intel and other globally recognized brands. The company today offers endpoint protection solutions that leverage multiple AI engines and enable organizations to detect, prevent and thwart cyberattacks from known and unknown sources.
