Sophos has released a version of the Sophos Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solution that allows organizations to use vendor-agnostic telemetry from third-party security technologies to identify and address cyber threats.
The solution also works in conjunction with Sophos' security tools, other vendors' security tools or both. In addition, Sophos has launched the Sophos Marketplace to support its MDR offering.
The Sophos Marketplace is an open ecosystem with technology integrations from more than 75 vendors, including:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- CrowdStrike
- Fortinet
- Microsoft
With Sophos' third-party integrations, security telemetry is consolidated, correlated and prioritized, the company said. This telemetry is further enhanced with insights from the Sophos Adaptive Cybersecurity Ecosystem and the Sophos X-Ops threat intelligence unit.
Sophos Offers a Warranty for Its MDR Solution
Along with updating Sophos MDR and launching the Sophos Marketplace, the company has introduced the Sophos Breach Protection Warranty for organizations that use Sophos MDR.
The Sophos Breach Protection Warranty covers up to $1 million in incident response expenses following a cyberattack and data breach, the company indicated. It offers protection for cyberattacks and data breaches across Windows and Mac devices and services. Also, the warranty has no warranty tiers or duration restrictions.
Furthermore, the warranty is underwritten by Sophos and automatically included in all purchases of Sophos MDR. Organizations can access the Sophos Breach Protection Warranty with any purchase or renewal of a Sophos MDR Complete annual subscription via Sophos' global reseller partner network as well.
Sophos Explores MDR, Cybersecurity Partnerships
Previously, Sophos in October 2022 integrated telemetry from third-party endpoint, firewall, cloud, identity, email and other security technologies into its Sophos Adaptive Cybersecurity Ecosystem. In doing so, Sophos began allowing organizations to use Sophos MDR solution in conjunction with telemetry from third-party security solutions.
Sophos remains committed to building an open environment in which organizations can use its solutions in combination with many other security tools to guard against cyber threats. The company also continues to establish partnerships with MSSPs and MSPs and empower them to deliver MDR and other security services to global organizations.
