1. Appdome Announces new Threat Resolution Center: Appdome, a mobile defense specialist, has announced its new Threat Resolution Center, powered by GenAI. The new service enables mobile support teams to instantly identify mobile threats, generate context-specific resolution steps and improve threat response for all stakeholders. Appdome will demonstrate the new GenAI-powered Threat Resolution Center at Black Hat USA in Las Vegas Aug. 7-8.

2. Cyera Builds Identity Security Defenses: Cyera, an identity data security provider, has launched the Cyera Identity Module, designed to bridge the gap between identity and data. The Cyera Identity Module gives organizations complete visibility into the identities, including external partners, non-human identities and internal users that have access to their most sensitive data, the company said. The module provides insights into identity-centric risks. For example, Cyera provides visibility into what sensitive data is accessible by external third-party users, such as auditors or suppliers.

3. Cycode Releases ASPM Solution: Cycode, an Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) specialist, has unveiled Cycode AI, a suite of AI-powered features that are now embedded in the Complete ASPM platform. This integration empowers security teams and developers to dramatically increase productivity, accelerate velocity and gain unprecedented visibility into risk-prone gaps across the entire organization, effectively mitigating the growing threat of sophisticated code-driven attacks, the company said.

4. Qualys Unveils Cyber Risk Solution: Qualys, a provider of cloud-based IT, security and compliance solutions, is unveiling TruRisk Eliminate at Black Hat 2024. Qualys TruRisk Eliminate is a comprehensive remediation solution that extends beyond patching to help organizations further reduce risk. This approach uses patchless patching, targeted isolation and other mitigation strategies to ensure robust protection, the company said.

5. Wing Security to Launch Threat Defense Solution: Wing Security, a provider of SaaS security solutions, has announced the launch of its tailored SaaS Threat Intelligence solution, providing organizations with personalized detection and response capabilities directly integrated into their SaaS security dashboard. The threat intelligence feature delivers timely, prioritized threat event information with recommendations and automated remediation plans unique to each organization's SaaS environment, the company said.

6. Semperis Studies Cost of Ransomware: Semperis, a specialist in identity-driven cyber resilience, has released its global ransomware study of nearly 1,000 IT and security professionals at organizations spanning multiple industries across the U.S., U.K., France and Germany. Ransomware attacks are not a one-time threat, Semperis found, as 74% of respondents that were attacked for ransom in the past 12 months were attacked multiple times — many within the span of a week. And companies are not prepared to beat ransomware, with 78% of targeted organizations paying the ransom; 72% paid multiple times and 33% of those paid ransom four times or more.

7. Hughes Unveils Small Business Security Solution: Hughes Network Systems has launched a small business package from Hughes Managed Cybersecurity, a managed solution designed to help keep employees and customers cyber-safe. The solution provides small business an affordable, enterprise-grade cybersecurity solution with automatic wireless backup connection, the company said.

8. Tenable Explores Sale: Tenable Holdings, a software security company, is exploring a potential sale after receiving takeover interest. Shares in Tenable rose as much as 14% on Tuesday, their biggest intraday gain since October 2022. The stock closed up 9.3% to $47.15, giving the company a market value of about $5.6 billion. 9. Cohesity Builds Cyber Resilience: Cohesity, an AI-powered data security and management provider, has built in GenAI detection and recovery capabilities to Cohesity Data Cloud. These improvements allow customers to use Cohesity’s AI capabilities to rapidly detect, investigate and address potential threats within their environment, enabling them to restore operations far more quickly, the company said.

10. Cyber Pro Launches Endari: Nils Puhlmann, a cybersecurity veteran with more than 30 years of experience, has launched Endari, a new cybersecurity company. Puhlmann has raised $4 million in seed funding, enabling Endari to create a proprietary and comprehensive cybersecurity maturity model.
