C3 Integrated Solutions has purchased Ingalls Information Security for an undisclosed sum.
This is technology M&A deal number 311 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2023.
C3, founded in 2008, is based in Arlington, Virginia. The company has 74 associated members listed on LinkedIn. C3's areas of expertise include Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance, managed services and architecture and implementation services.
Ingalls, founded in 2010, is based in Woodworth, Louisiana. The company has 42 associated members listed on LinkedIn. Ingalls' areas of expertise include managed eXtended detection and response (MXDR), digital forensics and incident response (DFIR). The company also positions itself as an MSSP for the U.S. Department of Defense.
What the Ingalls Acquisition Means for C3
Ingalls brings cybersecurity experience across the military, defense and intelligence sectors to C3. It complements C3 as the MSP looks to become the "preeminent IT, cybersecurity, and compliance partner" to the U.S. Defense Industrial Base (DIB), the companies noted.
In addition, C3 will leverage Ingalls' security operations center (SOC), managed detection and response (MDR) and DFIR capabilities, the companies stated. That way, C3 will soon be able to add new solutions and enhance its IT and compliance services.
Ingalls' CEO Joins C3's Leadership Team
As part of the transaction, Ingalls CEO Jason Ingalls will become C3's chief cybersecurity officer, the companies said.
In this role, he will be responsible for leading C3's cybersecurity practice and working with its leadership team to develop integrated services that meet the needs of the business' government and commercial customers.
